AKASHA HINES: CHILDBIRTH EDUCATOR & DOULA
Hi, I’m Akasha Hines—Childbirth Educator, Doula, and Pre/Postnatal Wellness Coach. My journey into birth work began with a tiny seed God planted in my heart. He showed me through the water birth of my first child just how beautiful and empowering birth could be.
I didn’t know it then, but I would later leave my job as a public school teacher and pursue the passion He placed in my heart. I received my doula and childbirth educator certifications in 2018. I went on to create the Birth Restored childbirth education course for parents in 2019 and certification program for educators in 2023.
When I’m not working, you can find me homeschooling my kids, going on glamping adventures, getting my hands dirty in my backyard garden, or sinking my toes in the sandy shores of the North Texas Lakes and pretending it’s the beach.
