God created childbirth and knows exactly how it should work. Many Christian childbirth courses state that birth is supposed to be painful because it says so in Genesis. Many Christian women today feel that birth is supposed to be painful because of the Curse of Eve.

There is a major flaw with the above thoughts. If God said childbirth was supposed to be painful, and He cursed Eve and her offspring then childbirth would be painful for everyone. If God says something is to be so, then it is so.

However, this is not the case with birth. Some women have pain in childbirth while others do not.

The Curse of Eve is flawed theology that has highjacked the Western, Christian birthing world and has robbed many women of an empowered and surrender birth with the Lord on their side.

IN THIS FIVE-PART CERTIFICATION COURSE:

  1. You will better understand God’s perfect design for pregnancy and birth. You will know how the body is designed to work and the crucial components of making the right choices early on to set oneself up for success. 

  2. You will discern the major differences between the American Birthing Culture and a God-designed birth. You will become informed of the common interventions that lead 1 out of 3 women spiraling into unnecessary and often avoidable cesareans. You will gain the tools needed to thoroughly discuss options, alternatives, and best practices, as well as, where to guide students for deeper understanding.

  3. You will learn the profound truths of how God designed the mind, body, and spirit to work together in harmony to create an unparalleled birthing experience. You will have a deep insight into God’s word and the myth of the Curse of Eve. You will explore Biblical theories and original language and learn how to empower women through science-backed tools to forge a birth that is both joyful and comfortable.

  4. You will grasp the importance of immediate newborn and postpartum care. You will be able to teach about the postpartum body, breastfeeding basics, postpartum mental health, and teach mothers how to lean into the Lord’s guidance on all parenting decisions

  5. You will learn how to start your childbirth education business off correctly, best practices, networking, and building a schedule that works for you and your students.

READY FOR THE NITTY GRITTY DETAILS?

Relaxed Natural Childbirth

  • First, you apply to be an educator. If accepted, you will pay your 50% deposit and begin your training. The course is self-paced online. It is structured to help you learn the material and not simply memorize given information. You will be guided through questions with articles and videos to help you find and process information.

    . Once you have completed all course content and paid your balance in full, you can schedule and attend your certification day via Zoom. After attendance, you will be officially certified as a Birth Restored Educator and have everything you need to begin teaching your classes.

  • The Birth Restored Educator’s program is broken into five units. Each unit has 4-6 lessons.

    The program is self-paced. There are two syllabi to guide your learning pace, 9 weeks and 13 weeks. However, you may choose to speed up or slow down your pace depending on the amount of time you have to dedicate.

    This is an in-depth and rigorous course that will require time and dedication.

  • The cost of the Birth Restored Educator program is $750.

    An initial deposit of 50% is required upon acceptance into the program. The remaining balance must be paid in full before your certification day. You may make payments however you would like.

  • The Birth Restored childbirth education course is a five-week course.

    The course is designed to be taught in two formats. You may teach all five weeks in person, or you may teach the course hybrid style.

    The hybrid option includes 3 weeks of in-person lessons and 2 weeks of online self-paced lessons for your students to complete independently.

    Week 1: Unit 1 (in person)

    Week 2: Unit 2 (online)

    Week 3: Unit 3 (in person)

    Week 4: Unit 4 (online)

    Week 5: Comfort Measures Workshop (in person)

  • The class price can be set between $250 and $450, depending on the demographics of your population.

    If you teach a full class (approx 4-6 students), you can expect to make anywhere from $1,000-$2,700 per class).

  • There is an annual membership fee of $150. This can be waived if the educator teaches one hybrid course with at least 3 students per year.

    To teach the Birth Restored Childbirth education course, the educator must be an active member.

    As an active member, the educator will be kept up-to-date on the latest evidence-based practice, any changes in course content, and current instructional materials such as slides, video content, etc.

    The educator will also be listed on the Birth Restored website.

    As a member, the educator has access to the online Birth Restored educator’s community group and monthly business zoom meetings with Akasha Hines, the creator.

  • All educators must align with some core tenets of faith and ethics.

    1. Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and on the third day ascended into heaven.

    2. You believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God written by man through the power of the Holy Spirit.

    3. You must value the sanctity of all life. In our culture, this means you are “pro-life.”

    4. You believe God made humans male and female. Females are the only ones biologically capable of bearing children.

    5. You believe in medical choice. Tests, procedures, or medications should never be forced on a patient nor their child.

    6. You follow Christian morals and values in accordance to the Bible and do not promote lifestyle choices that are specifically stated as sin.

  • Yes, you may choose to teach another course at a separate time. However, the other course cannot be in conflict with the Birth Restored Educator’s ethical and theological guidelines.
